Requirements

  • Active Ohio Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license required
  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Compassionate, resident-first approach to therapy
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary rehab team

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred (new grads welcome)

Responsibilities

  • Carry out therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and rehab activities
  • Monitor progress, document updates, and report changes to the Physical Therapist
  • Educate residents and families on therapy goals, safe movement, and home exercise programs
  • Create a positive, motivating environment that encourages participation and recovery
  • Ensure therapy services follow Ohio state regulations and Kingstons standards of care
