Requirements
- Active Ohio Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license required
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Compassionate, resident-first approach to therapy
- Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary rehab team
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred (new grads welcome)
Responsibilities
- Carry out therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and rehab activities
- Monitor progress, document updates, and report changes to the Physical Therapist
- Educate residents and families on therapy goals, safe movement, and home exercise programs
- Create a positive, motivating environment that encourages participation and recovery
- Ensure therapy services follow Ohio state regulations and Kingstons standards of care
