About The Position

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) at HCA Healthcare is responsible for performing treatments on assigned patients as established by the physical therapist. This role involves directing and supervising physical therapy technicians, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining accurate documentation. The PTA will work full-time, Monday to Friday, with one weekend per month, contributing to a team dedicated to providing exceptional patient experiences.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Current Georgia Licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification

Responsibilities

  • Perform treatments on assigned patients as established by the physical therapist on the plan of care.
  • Direct and supervise physical therapy technicians in conjunction with the physical therapist.
  • Utilize appropriate, sound, and current treatment techniques to effectively assess and treat patients.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient treatments.
  • Exemplify outstanding customer service and act in a professional and respectful manner at all times.
  • Efficiently use resources to achieve optimum productivity within the established service budget.
  • Abide by departmental and hospital policies and procedures, HIPAA, and all regulatory standards.
  • Assist physical therapists according to the plan of care in treating impairments of rehab patients.
