We have an amazing opportunity for a Eastmont - Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) PRN to join our team! This PRN/On-Call position starts at $22.00 DOE.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
  • Current on the NE Registry as a licensed PTA.
  • CPR certification or become certified within six months of hire
  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant, and/or certified on the applicable State Registry
  • Completion of a background check.
  • TB, and/or physical may be required in some state/local jurisdictions.

Nice To Haves

  • One year in long-term care or acute care setting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of relevant rehabilitation therapy techniques and procedures in respective discipline
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat and/or Adobe Reader
  • An upbeat, fun, outgoing personality and can-do attitude
  • Convey the appropriate information needed to identify individuals’ requirements relative to their condition and age-specific needs
  • A caring, passionate personality and ability to develop and maintain meaningful, positive relationships with residents, patients, families, physicians and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts PT Assessments/evaluations for assigned patients, developing and implementing a treatment and discharge plan based upon results and modifying it as necessary to meet resident/patient goals.
  • Participate in program development in-services and staff meetings.
  • Promote a safe and secure environment for both team members and patients.
  • Actively support the treatment team, department and rehabilitation goals and objectives.
  • Assist in care planning processes; primarily working with outpatient orthopedic clients.
  • Promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility.
