About The Position

The Physical Therapy Assistant at PeaceHealth Grabow Therapy & Wellness Clinic is responsible for implementing physical therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. This role focuses on restoring function, preventing disability, and helping patients achieve optimal functional status. The position also involves mentoring students and therapy aides, ensuring quality patient care, and collaborating with healthcare professionals.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required upon hire.
• Physical Therapist Assistant License in the State of Washington.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services to patients according to the treatment plan under the supervision of a physical therapist.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely, adhering to regulatory and state licensure requirements.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuous care for patients.
• Mentor and provide oversight to therapy aides and clinical instruction to physical therapy assistant students.
• Participate in the development of new services and programs, as well as quality improvement activities.
