About The Position
The Physical Therapy Technician position is a part-time role located at 1000 North Central Avenue, Glendale, CA 91202, offering a starting pay of $16.50 per hour. Under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the technician will play a crucial role in supporting the clinic's operations and ensuring a smooth flow of activities on the clinic floor. This includes maintaining the overall cleanliness of the clinic, ensuring that all equipment is in working order, and adhering to FMPT policies and HIPAA regulations. The technician will work collaboratively within a team environment and will be responsible for completing daily tasks as assigned, which requires strong customer service skills and the ability to maintain friendly and professional relationships with both patients and employees. Essential duties include preparing treatment rooms for patients, assisting patients in changing into physical therapy apparel, managing laundry to maintain a supply of clean linens, and recording daily notes under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The technician will also help treat patients by applying ice or heat packs, assisting them onto exercise equipment, monitoring their movements, and performing prescribed exercises. Educating patients on the proper use of equipment and exercise routines is also a key responsibility. Maintaining patient confidentiality and ensuring a safe and clean working environment are critical aspects of this role. The technician will be responsible for sterilizing and delivering equipment, maintaining inventory levels, and reporting any issues to the Physical Therapists. This position requires a proactive approach to enhancing the physical therapy department's reputation and accepting ownership of new requests and opportunities.
