About The Position

The Physical Therapy Aide position at Athletico Physical Therapy involves assisting clinicians and the Patient Experience Coordinator in providing exceptional rehabilitative services. The role focuses on patient interaction, administrative support, and maintaining a clean and organized clinic environment. The aide will work closely with physical therapists and assistants to ensure a positive patient experience while adhering to state practice act requirements.

Requirements

• High school graduate or intern preferred.
• Previous Clinical Aide or Rehab Tech experience preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Attention to detail and time management skills are required.
• Ability to provide care/service that exceeds patient expectations.
• Energetic and a team player with compassion toward patients.
• Basic knowledge of office equipment preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a clinical setting.
• Proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients as they arrive to the clinic.
• Assist physical therapists during treatment administration.
• Prepare patients for physical therapy treatments, including putting on and removing supportive devices.
• Safeguard, motivate, and assist patients with exercises and functional activities under professional staff direction.
• Provide routine treatments such as hot/cold packs and other modalities like Ultrasounds and Electrical stimulation.
• Clean work areas and equipment after treatments.
• Wash linens/towels and maintain linen cabinets.
• Restock supplies in restrooms and other areas as needed.
• Assist the Patient Experience Coordinator with answering phones, scheduling appointments, and filing paperwork.
• Keep track of non-medical and medical supplies for the clinic and may order inventory.
