About The Position

The Physical Therapy Aide at Athletico Physical Therapy plays a crucial role in supporting the rehabilitation process by assisting clinicians and enhancing the patient experience. This part-time position involves a combination of administrative and clinical duties, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care in a welcoming environment. The aide will work closely with physical therapists and assistants, contributing to the overall mission of empowering individuals and transforming lives through effective rehabilitative services.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or intern preferred.
  • Previous Clinical Aide or Rehab Tech experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to document projects clearly and manage production effectively.
  • Attention to detail and time management skills are required.
  • Energetic team player with a compassionate approach toward patients.
  • Basic knowledge of office equipment preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a clinical setting as a Clinical Aide or Rehab Tech.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients as they arrive to the clinic and assist with their needs.
  • Prepare patients for physical therapy treatments, including putting on and removing supportive devices.
  • Assist physical therapists during the administration of treatments and provide routine treatment.
  • Safeguard, motivate, and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities under professional staff direction.
  • Provide routine treatments such as hot/cold packs and other modalities like Ultrasounds and Electrical stimulation.
  • Clean work areas and equipment after treatment, ensuring a hygienic environment.
  • Wash linens/towels, fold, and maintain linen cabinets.
  • Maintain restrooms and other areas, restocking supplies as needed.
  • Assist the Patient Experience Coordinator with answering phones, scheduling appointments, and filing paperwork.
  • Keep track of non-medical and medical supplies for the clinic and assist in ordering inventory.
