About The Position

The Physical Therapy Aide position is responsible for assisting members with daily exercises under the direction of the Rehabilitation department and/or the Director of Restorative Services. The role aims to promote or maintain physical well-being in accordance with regulations and facility guidelines. This position is also subject to random drug and alcohol testing.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• One year of experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Current Michigan CENA certificate is required.
• For Physical Therapy Aide 7: One year of experience equivalent to a Physical Therapy Aide 6.
• For Physical Therapy Aide E8: Two years of experience equivalent to a Physical Therapy Aide, including one year equivalent to a Physical Therapy Aide 7, or an associate's degree in a physical therapy assistant program.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in long-term care settings.
• Experience with restorative and/or maintenance therapy.

Responsibilities

• Assist members with daily exercises as directed by the Rehabilitation department.
• Promote and maintain physical well-being of members in accordance with facility guidelines.
• Support the Director of Restorative Services in implementing therapy programs.
