As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in our patient care team, providing exceptional care and support to our patients. Your clinical competency and compassion will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve. In this position, you will perform supervisory duties and evaluations on patients, helping them improve their basic motor functions and reasoning abilities. You will also assist patients in compensating for permanent loss of function by teaching them how to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments, in accordance with Concentra Medical Centers' Injury Process Management and philosophy of rehabilitation in occupational medicine. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care services, performing direct patient care, and evaluating muscle, skeletal, neurological, and other physical problems. You will support and encourage multidisciplinary coordination of treatment, maintain proper documentation of patient care, and comply with quality assurance policies and applicable regulations. Effective communication with staff, medical personnel, and patients is essential to ensure coordinated efforts and optimal patient care. You will also be responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and interpreting specific physical therapy treatment programs to facilitate patient recovery and help them achieve maximum physical potential. In addition to direct patient care, you will educate patients on the proper care and use of supports and exercise programs, perform or delegate patient treatment, and follow appropriate documentation and reporting procedures. You will work closely with physicians to ensure comprehensive delivery of services and quality patient care, assist marketing staff with tours, and participate in professional development through meetings and educational seminars. Your role will also involve communicating with the Outcome Assurance Injury Coordinator or Case Manager regarding patient progress and compliance with treatment programs. You will participate in the clinical instruction of university occupational therapy students and assist in evaluating the effectiveness of the rehabilitation quality management process. Compliance with licensing, certification, and accrediting body regulations is crucial in this role.
