About The Position

Kessler Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist for its outpatient facility located in Toms River, NJ. As New Jersey's premier provider of outpatient physical and occupational therapy, Kessler Rehabilitation Center operates more than 95 facilities statewide and is part of the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, a leading rehabilitation hospital. Founded in 1948, Kessler has expanded its programs and services to meet the growing demand for quality outpatient therapies, treating over 38,000 patients each year. The Toms River center is a large facility that employs a team of 4 Physical Therapists, 1 Physical Therapy Tech, and 3 office administrators, all dedicated to providing high-quality care. The clinic serves a diverse treatment population, including general orthopedics, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports-specific rehab, neuro rehabilitation, and pediatrics. Clinicians at this facility hold numerous certifications and specialties, contributing to Kessler's reputation as the largest outpatient orthopedic PT/OT provider in New Jersey.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited school of physical therapy.
• Valid New Jersey State Physical Therapy License/Registration required to start.
• Prior experience in outpatient orthopedics preferred; entry level/New Grad acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive evaluations and develops individualized treatment plans.
• Provides thorough education to patients and caregivers in an understandable manner.
• Plans for discharge when medical necessity no longer indicates skilled therapeutic care.
• Participates in departmental initiatives and communicates effectively with all rehab team members.
• Facilitates professional growth and development within the department.
• Performs other professional duties associated with patient care and therapy services.
