About The Position

Kessler Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist for its outpatient facility located at 2345 Route 66, Ocean, NJ 07712. As New Jersey's premier provider of outpatient physical and occupational therapy, Kessler Rehabilitation Center operates more than 95 facilities statewide and is part of the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, a leading rehabilitation hospital founded in 1948. The Toms River center is a large outpatient rehabilitation facility that treats a diverse patient population, including general orthopedics, post-surgical cases, sports-specific rehabilitation, neuro rehabilitation, and pediatrics. The clinic employs a dedicated team of physical therapists, therapy techs, and office administrators who work collaboratively to provide high-quality care to patients. Kessler Rehabilitation Center is recognized as the largest outpatient orthopedic PT/OT provider in New Jersey, treating over 38,000 patients annually.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited school of physical therapy.
• Valid New Jersey State Physical Therapy License/Registration required to start.
• Prior experience in outpatient orthopedics preferred; entry level/New Grad acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive evaluations and develops individualized treatment plans.
• Provides thorough education to patients and caregivers in an understandable manner.
• Plans for discharge when medical necessity no longer indicates skilled therapeutic care.
• Participates in departmental initiatives and communicates effectively with all rehab team members.
• Facilitates professional growth and development within the department.
• Implements improvements in departmental performance.
• Performs other professional duties related to patient care and therapy services.
