The Mercer Center for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Care clinic in Macon, GA is searching for a Physical Therapist. The role of the Physical Therapist is to evaluate, design, and implement a patient’s plan of care. Each Plan of Care is created to increase, maintain, or restore function, minimize or prevent disability, and assist patients in reaching their maximum performance levels.

  • A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent from an accredited program.
  • Three years of directly related experience.
  • Certification and licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Georgia.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • ACLS certification.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills.
  • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care.
  • Computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs and EHR systems.
  • Ability to implement actionable plans to meet established goals and objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with coworkers.
  • Effective communication and strong public speaking skills.
  • Quick learner with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with patients and their families.
