The Physical Therapist 1 role involves providing patient care through evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, patient education, and discharge planning to maximize function.

Requirements

  • Must be a licensed PT or capable of attaining in the State of TX
  • at least 3 years of experience
  • Masters' or Bachelors plus 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
  • Less than 1 Year of Experience
  • Physical Therapist (PT) certification/license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer

  • Have good communication skills. Be able to relate professionally and positively to patients, their family members, and facility staff.
  • Exhibit exceptional face-to-face synergy and leadership skills with all levels of the healthcare team.
  • Assure excellent customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers.
  • Possess proficient computer knowledge; operate multiple computer systems and standard Rehabilitation equipment.
  • High attention to detail in fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a high level of productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates, treats and monitors patient. Modifies therapy program and goals.
  • Performs thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner. Enters charges accurately. Knows about reimbursement related to practice setting.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, families, coworkers, and the medical care team. Provides education to patients, family, and staff.
  • Supervises ancillary staff, students and volunteers.
  • Advances clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review and implementation of evidence-based practice.
  • Dispenses knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues. Adheres to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintains awareness of system goals. Aligns personal goals and work activities to uphold or impact the system goals.
