About The Position

The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients recovering from injury, disease, surgery, or other ailments. Establishes treatment plans and treats patients using a variety of methods, including exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment to ease patients' pain and help them recover. Works cooperatively with physicians, case managers, and insurance adjusters. Documents and reports on patients' progress. May supervise physical therapy assistants, aides, and athletic trainers.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree or equivalent in Physical Therapy With Minimum of 1 year experience, OR Equivalent Work Experience: 4-6 years.
  • Active Physical Therapist Licensure
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

  • Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes. (Continuous)
  • Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance. (Continuous)
  • Ability to match or discriminate between colors. (Continuous)
  • (Selected Positions) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception. (Continuous)
  • Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction. (Continuous)
  • Ability to perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements. (Continuous)
  • Ability to work in a latex safe environment. (Continuous)
  • Ability to maintain tactile sensory functions. (Frequent)
  • (Selected Positions) Ability to maintain good olfactory sensory function. (Frequent)
  • (Selected Positions) Ability to be qualified physically for respirator use, initially and as required. (Continuous)
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Work Experience: 7 years progressive work experience and 2 years management experience
  • State licensure and/or professional certification requirement/s dependent on position.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
