About The Position

Shriners Children's is a premier pediatric medical center specializing in burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties. The organization is seeking a Physical Therapist to join its Rehab team. This role involves the evaluation and treatment of inpatients and outpatients, including infants, toddlers, school-age, and adolescent children. The Physical Therapist will interact with families and children in an age-appropriate manner to foster a family-centered care environment. The position also includes supervisory responsibilities for physical therapists, occupational therapists, recreational/child life therapists, rehabilitation aides, students, and volunteers as assigned. This is a per diem, exempt, and benefits-eligible position, with compensation based on years of experience and departmental equity.

Requirements

Licensed in WA
Basic Life Support (BLS)

Nice To Haves

1 year experience in Physical Therapy

Responsibilities

Administration of appropriate treatment techniques and modalities for the rehabilitation of children aged birth to 21
Adherence to the scope and standards of practice as defined by the American Physical Therapy Association
Uses creativity, professional judgment, and problem solving techniques to achieve quality outcomes and provide the highest quality of patient centered care
Participates in patient and family teaching
Works collaboratively with other disciplines
Plays an integral role in facilitating functional performance through the integration of skill development, strength and movement, play based activities, and social-emotional development
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned
