About The Position

Shriners Children's is a premier pediatric medical center specializing in burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties. The organization is seeking a Physical Therapist to join its Rehab team. This role involves the evaluation and treatment of inpatients and outpatients, including infants, toddlers, school-age, and adolescent children. The Physical Therapist will interact with families and children in an age-appropriate manner to foster a family-centered care environment. The position also includes supervisory responsibilities for physical therapists, occupational therapists, recreational/child life therapists, rehabilitation aides, students, and volunteers as assigned. This is a per diem, exempt, and benefits-eligible position, with compensation based on years of experience and departmental equity.

Requirements

  • Licensed in WA
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year experience in Physical Therapy

Responsibilities

  • Administration of appropriate treatment techniques and modalities for the rehabilitation of children aged birth to 21
  • Adherence to the scope and standards of practice as defined by the American Physical Therapy Association
  • Uses creativity, professional judgment, and problem solving techniques to achieve quality outcomes and provide the highest quality of patient centered care
  • Participates in patient and family teaching
  • Works collaboratively with other disciplines
  • Plays an integral role in facilitating functional performance through the integration of skill development, strength and movement, play based activities, and social-emotional development
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned
