About The Position

We have a unique full-time opportunity at Deaconess Henderson that combines pediatric outpatient care with acute/inpatient rehabilitation services. This role allows you to treat a diverse patient population while expanding your clinical skillset across settings — all within a supportive, collaborative team. This position offers a split between Pediatric and Inpatient care, providing variety in your day and the opportunity to grow across multiple areas of practice. Requirements

  • A Bachelor's, Master’s, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy
  • The required state licensure, certification, and registration that is in good standing with the state or the ability to obtain the required state licensure
  • CPR/AED/BLS certification or the ability to obtain it prior to the start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
  • Outpatient physical therapy experience
  • The ability to stand or sit throughout the entire assigned shift, and walk for extended periods
  • A high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Eligibility to Work: This position requires candidates to be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring current or future sponsorship for an employment visa (e.g., H-1B, OPT, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients
  • Provide family-centered care and caregiver education
  • Support developmental progress across a variety of diagnoses
  • Opportunities to assist with NICU and developmental care
  • Provide acute care rehabilitation services in a hospital setting
  • Evaluate and treat patients to improve mobility and functional outcomes
  • Assist with discharge planning and continuity of care
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Review patient information and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Supervise PTAs and rehabilitation technicians
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards
  • Other duties as assigned
