About The Position

This position prepares students to respond appropriately to the education program. The Physical Therapist works with team members in the school to enable the student to work toward his/her/their potential by improving, developing or restoring sensorimotor function. This position provides direct or consultative services to identified disabled students; problem solves to meet the student's ever-changing needs, serves as the liaison with school personnel, family, physician and agencies through written and/or oral communication, researches and provides recommendations equipment adaptation, fabrication and repair, attends and participates in IEPC, MET team meetings etc., evaluates assesses and screens students, establishes plans to meet individual student's and program needs, establishes and maintains appropriate records, reports and procedures, sets-up, maintains cleaning of treatment areas and physical therapy equipment. This position requires travel within the school district. Other duties as assigned. As a Physical Therapist y ou will work as part of a team that serves 7,500 students at 18 campuses across Helena, Montana. Entry level salary is $321.54 - $369.55 per day. This position will work during the normal school day.

Requirements

  • Montana Physical Therapist license at the time of employment
  • Successful candidates are regularly required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
