The Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) Support program provides agility and capacity to improve performance and extend the longevity of the “human weapon system,” thereby increasing the operational readiness of Air Support Operations Groups (ASOG) and the TACP community. The PACAF TACP Support program seeks to maintain the highest state of readiness throughout the United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR). This is achieved by integrating physical therapy, behavioral healthcare, and strength and conditioning services, which are critical for maintaining peak performance. The Physical Therapist will be responsible for all administrative and clinical management within the scope of practice for PACAF HPO as an independent embedded healthcare provider. The PT shall employ a variety of principles and methodologies to conduct examinations, evaluations, diagnoses, prognoses, interventions, and outcome assessments for assigned personnel. This includes, but is not limited to, providing operational care through individual assessments, injury prevention strategies, and human performance interventions targeting musculoskeletal conditions to support personnel readiness. The PT will also serve as the subject matter expert in all aspects of musculoskeletal injury management, injury prevention, and performance enhancement, in support of personnel readiness.
