About The Position

A healthcare facility in Syracuse, NY is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to provide care in an acute and outpatient setting. The Physical Therapist will be responsible for evaluating patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and functional improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy
• Active New York State Physical Therapy License or eligibility for licensure
• Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapy experience
• Experience in acute and/or outpatient settings required
• Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with established procedures
• Establish measurable treatment goals in collaboration with patients and healthcare team members
• Implement therapeutic programs to improve patient function and mobility
• Prepare and maintain timely documentation, including progress notes and discharge summaries
• Attend clinics, rounds, and conferences and provide relevant patient information
• Participate in educational programs for staff, students, volunteers, and healthcare professionals
• Train and orient new staff members
• Serve as a clinical instructor for senior-level physical therapy students
• Support the development of new programs and initiatives within the department
