About The Position

This position involves planning and implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients in accordance with physical therapy principles and practices, and within the parameters prescribed by the attending physician. The role includes developing, implementing, monitoring, and revising corrective exercise and treatment programs for assigned patients. The Physical Therapist is responsible for recording progress notes and other relevant material in the patient's record, coordinating and communicating patient progress and therapeutic goals with other team members, and conferring with physicians on patient progress. Additionally, the position requires maintaining equipment, ordering supplies consistent with job specifications, and performing related clerical work. This position requires a Level II background check and is grant funded.

Responsibilities

Develops, implements, monitors, and revises, as necessary, a program of corrective exercise and treatment for assigned patients.
Records progress notes and other appropriate material in the patient's record.
Coordinates and communicates patient progress and therapeutic goals with other team members.
Confers with physician on patient's progress.
Maintains equipment and orders supplies consistent with job specifications.
Performs related clerical work.
