About The Position

Physical Therapist PRN - Albany, GA. Position Goal: To provide the highest level of patient care while accessing, interpreting, planning and implementing prescribed physical therapy treatment plans. Position Responsibilities: This position is PRN / As Needed Plans and administers medically prescribed physical therapy (PT) treatments for patients suffering from injuries or disease and to restore function, prevent disability and relieve pain. Consults with physicians and/or other departments about the impact of PT factors on patient health status. Document findings, treatments and other patient information for medical record as necessary. Bills patients according to proper procedures. Educates patients/family on appropriate care and use of various therapies and/or exercise. Serves as an information and education resource for patients, families, and other members of the therapy staff. Participates in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations. Performs related work as required. Recommends solutions to patient care problems. Maintains patient confidentiality. Performs other duties as assigned. Hughston Responsibilities: Utilize effective communication skills (written and verbal) interacting with co-workers, other clinic employees, supervisors, and outside vendors. Promote The Hughston Clinic's role in the community by greeting and interacting with all patients, families, visitors, vendors, and guests in a courteous and respectful manner. Provides support or relief for other staff as needed. Demonstrates confidentiality in all aspects to include both patient and non-patient issues. Reflect THC values and is sensitive to THC's ethical and compliance principals in his/her daily activities. Promote resolution of concerns and conflict by routing through correct mechanism or resolving the situation. Able to prioritize daily functions/tasks Display a willingness to put forth effort in problem solving Other duties as assigned Physical Demand and Working Conditions: Essential Functions: Lift and carry 50 pounds, move patients and equipment. Marginal Functions: Reach for and manipulate equipment and patient, visual acuity, hearing and speaking. Accommodations: General PT equipment provided. Environmental Factors: General medical clinic environment. Position Requirements: Experience : 1 year experience preferred. Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy. Special Qualifications : Must have current state license in PT. Must maintain BLS certification. Outside Relationship: Must be able to relate professionally with patients, family members, facility staff and physicians. Interaction with Other Departments: All hospital and clinic departments Assets Controlled : Supplies and equipment used in treating patients

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy.
  • Must have current state license in PT.
  • Must maintain BLS certification.
  • Must be able to relate professionally with patients, family members, facility staff and physicians.
