About The Position

Come join our team at Seldovia Village Tribe (SVT)! Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week Salary Range: Depends on experience Type of Employment: In-person, not a remote position What You'll Do: Provide physical therapy services to patients including assessment, treatment, program planning, and implementation, related documentation and communication. Treat a variety of diagnoses while partnering with other members of our care team. Provide outcome focused care, treatments should enhance strength, range of motion, flexibility, mechanical alignment, and minimize pain or discomfort to improve function. Responsible for evaluating patients, identifying the therapy diagnosis and formulating therapy treatment plans and goals in collaboration with patient/partners Explain treatment to patients and prepare them for treatment Maintain accurate patient records and chart notes in our EHR system Comply with quality, safety, and infection-prevention protocols, as well as all federal and state regulations Work cooperatively with the primary care provider, offering consultation where necessary. Referring patients for other SVTHW services as needed Maintain Continuing Education requirements as defined by state license criteria and national board certification , read trade journals, and keep up-to-date on industry practices and regulations Assist in developing and delivering patient education and handouts to enhance patient/partner experience Participate in developing systems of delivery to assure efficient and comprehensive patient care and strengthen a Team approach Promote communication and program development by participating in clinic meetings as scheduled Be able to travel as needed to other communities including to and from Homer / Seldovia by small airplane and sometimes by boat when airplanes are on weather hold. Travel is a day trip, but inclement weather may require an overnight stay. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and a pre-employment background check including fingerprinting.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited PT program required
  • 1+ Year(s) Physical Therapy experience required
  • 1+ Year(s) manual therapy required
