About The Position
A new 90-bed acute care hospital opening in Spring 2026 in Gainesville, Florida is seeking a Physical Therapist to join its inpatient rehabilitation and acute care therapy team. This state-of-the-art facility will include comprehensive emergency services, advanced surgical programs, and a 30-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit . The Physical Therapist will play a key role in helping patients regain strength, restore mobility, and improve independence following illness, injury, or surgery. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- State Licensed Physical Therapist
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
Nice To Haves
- 1+ year Physical Therapist experience
- Experience in acute care or inpatient rehabilitation
- New graduates are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient mobility, strength, and functional limitations
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to restore function and reduce pain
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
- Document therapy outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
- Educate patients and families on exercises, safety techniques, and recovery strategies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care
- Mentor therapy assistants and students when applicable
