About The Position
Adelphi is seeking Physical Therapists to provide services to students at a school in Washington, DC. The ideal candidates will provide targeted physical therapy services to enhance students’ mobility, strength, and physical access within the school setting. Requirements
- Licensed Physical Therapist (Washington DC)
- Masters or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy
- Registration with the appropriate national certification board (APTA)
- Experience in school or pediatric settings preferred
Responsibilities
- Assess students’ gross motor functioning and mobility needs to determine educational impact.
- Develop and implement individualized physical therapy interventions aligned with IEP goals.
- Deliver therapy services within school environments to promote safe and functional access to learning.
- Monitor and document student progress in compliance with IDEA and district standards; participate in ARD/IEP meetings.
- Consult with educators and staff to recommend mobility, positioning, and access supports across settings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
