About The Position

Position Details: PRN 8:00 - 4:30 p.m. Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center is a private, not-for-profit, community health care provider, governed by a community-based board of trustees. Since its founding in 1973, the original 59-bed, short-stay hospital has grown into a comprehensive acute care medical center with 226 licensed beds. We specialize in women’s and children’s services, surgery, cardiology, oncology, orthopedics, gerontology, psychiatry, emergency services and community health education. In June 1998, Howard County General Hospital joined Johns Hopkins Medicine. In June 2023, the hospital was renamed Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center. The Physical Therapist organizes and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy services for inpatients and/or outpatients to restore function, prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part, improve wound healing and assist the patient in reaching his/her maximum possible level of functioning to assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of their disability. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Two (2) or more years experience in Physical Therapy preferred.
  • Experience in Wound Care required.
  • Current or temporary license as a Physical Therapist in the State of Maryland.
  • Current CPR certification required.
