Requirements

Must have a valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license and eligibility
Must have a Master's degree in Physical Therapy; or a Master's degree in a Physical Therapy related field in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; or a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience
The qualifying Physical Therapy degree earned outside of the U.S. must be evaluated to be the U.S. equivalent to a degree in Physical Therapy

Responsibilities

Assess patient needs
Develop their recovery plans
Deliver physical therapy
Address the whole patient and see them as an individual
Design a program that will restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities
Be adaptable to the needs of the patient and find joy in the variety of the work and the settings
Collaborate with peers
Make referrals to help patients get the care they need to thrive
Train patients and caregivers on the skills they need to promote independence and productivity
