About The Position

Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking a Physical Therapist for a permanent Acute Inpatient Rehab opportunity in Fort Pierce, Florida. The Physical Therapist provides high-quality, patient-centered care by managing the full therapeutic process for an assigned patient population in coordination with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team. This role focuses on patient engagement, goal achievement, and positive outcomes across the continuum of care in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting.

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapist license for the position being applied for.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapy experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
• Ability to work effectively in an acute inpatient rehabilitation environment.
• Strong communication and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and deliver treatment interventions within scope of practice and professional standards.
• Assess therapeutic, rehabilitative, and functional status and participate in developing individualized plans of care.
• Provide skilled, purposeful therapy interventions aligned with physician treatment plans.
• Instruct patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques, exercises, and use of assistive or therapeutic devices.
• Support continuity of care through effective communication with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Prioritize caseloads, coordinate assignments, and support daily operational workflow.
• Promote patient engagement, safety, and positive patient experience throughout the rehabilitation process.
