Requirements

  • Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university.
  • Three (3) internships/affiliations satisfactorily completed.
  • Twelve (12) weeks of clinical experience at a university-approved hospital.
  • Current PT licensure by the Georgia State Board of Physical Therapy.
  • Current AHA/ARC BLS certification.
  • Must obtain and maintain required ortho education/training as mandated in the Houston Healthcare Joint Destination Center of Excellence Policy.
  • Must obtain and maintain required stroke education/training as mandated in the Houston Healthcare Primary Stroke Center/Acute Stroke Ready Designation Policy.
  • Utilizes a variety physical therapy equipment to include ultrasound, electrical stimulation, whirlpool, iontophoresis, TEN's units, paraffin bath, fluidotherapy, Biodex, biofeedback, traction, and exercise equipment.
