About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation Outpatient Rehabilitation is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist for their Mesquite, TX clinic. The BSW Mesquite-Beltline clinic features a 6-PT team, a busy and dynamic environment with an upbeat and friendly culture, a large open space gym, an Alter G, and 13 treatment tables including a private traction room. The patient population primarily consists of orthopedic cases, including post-operative hips, knees, and shoulders, spine pain, a significant work compensation demographic, and a growing sports medicine component. The clinic aims to expand its team to continue serving this vibrant patient population.

Requirements

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist required
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment or as required by state regulations

Nice To Haves

• Skills in traditional orthopedics, sports medicine and pain management are a plus
• New grads with clinical experience in orthopedics may be considered

Responsibilities

• Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment
• Timely and accurate documentation using Therapy Source
• Interpreting assessment/diagnostic data including medical notes and surgery reports
• Ensuring medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately
• Promoting continuous quality improvement
• Instructing and counseling patients/families as needed
