The Physical Therapist is responsible for delivering a full spectrum of therapy services, including patient assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions within a collaborative team setting. This role also involves accountability for and contribution to program development, quality improvement initiatives, problem-solving, and enhancing productivity in a flexible team-oriented manner.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Licensed to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Florida.
  • American Heart Association BLS Certification for Health Care Providers.
  • Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation.
  • TB/PPD Surveillance Program.
  • Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).

Responsibilities

  • Providing a full range of therapy services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in a team environment consistent with the position’s qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards.
  • Demonstrate accountability for and contribution to program development, quality improvement, problem solving and productivity enhancement in a flexible team fashion.
  • Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality therapy services for patients in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy.
  • Develop treatment plans.
  • Supervise assistants and aides.
  • Contribute to case management.
  • Provide quality patient care.
  • Maintain positive level of interaction with patients and co-workers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
