About The Position

This is a .4 FTE continuing contract position for a Physical Therapist that begins on or about March 23, 2026. Edmonds School District Physical Therapists provide physical therapy services for children ages 3 through 21 with identified physical disabilities, motor deficits, movement dysfunctions, and/or developmental delays that interfere with learning in the education environment. As a member of the multidisciplinary educational/assessment team, Physical Therapists: perform program planning for physical therapy or appropriate options for each individualized education program (IEP); provide treatment and management of the disability based upon results of evaluation, which may include direct and/or indirect therapy services; offer consultation and education on formal and informal levels with medical and educational professionals, paraprofessionals, and parents regarding educational programming and disability information. administer physical therapy services within the educational environment (documentation, record-keeping, equipment, space requirements, supervision of classroom and Physical Therapy Assistants) are responsible for monitoring the proper fit, use, and adjustment of specialized equipment; and conduct research and evaluation for school physical therapy services.

Requirements

  • Valid Washington State Educational Staff Associate Certificate as a Physical Therapist
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain a Washington State Physical Therapist license
