At St. Anthony Hospital, the Therapy department consists of approximately 70 caregivers who treat adult patients across various specialties including trauma, neurological, cardiac, orthopedic, and general medicine therapy. Therapists are cross-trained for both inpatient rehab and acute settings, with acute care therapists also being ICU trained. The team is committed to evidence-based care, continuous education, and patient-centric treatment, fostering a challenging yet productive environment to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The role of a Physical Therapist (PT) involves providing a continuum of services to patients with neuromuscular, orthopedic, and other physically-related disorders. This includes mobility training, strengthening, modalities, specialized manual therapy, and neuromuscular reeducation. The Physical Therapist utilizes the rehabilitation process to promote and restore the optimal health and well-being of patients and is expected to uphold the organizational mission and core values.
