As a Physical Therapist, you will help patients rebuild or maintain their physical wellbeing so they can function at their best level, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life. This role involves performing initial evaluations, developing and updating individualized plans of care, and providing a variety of direct treatments. You will be expected to consistently meet patient care productivity standards, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and families, and promote a positive customer service environment. To be successful, you must possess strong age-appropriate competency skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor, upon hire or Master in Physical Therapy from a school accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association, upon hire
  • student or prior experience in a Rehab setting
  • Physical Therapist: KY, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Help patients rebuild or maintain their physical wellbeing so they can function at their best level, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life.
  • Perform initial evaluations, develop and update individualized plans of care, and provide a variety of direct treatments.
  • Consistently meet patient care productivity standards.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and families.
  • Promote a positive customer service environment.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
  • Evaluates assigned patients within the guidelines established by the physician and in compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Implements competent treatment and performs regular reassessments for the purpose of treatment modification, to maximize patient’s potential for functional independence, all in accordance of departmental standards.
  • Completes all required documentation and maintains pertinent records of all assigned patients, in order to be in compliance with Joint Commission, CARF, Medicare, and all other regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrates the ability to be efficient and productive by organizing job duties and responsibilities.
  • Maintains effective communication regarding Therapy programs and departmental issues.
