About The Position

You'll provide exceptional rehabilitation care in an outpatient clinic, working with a diverse patient population to improve their recovery and quality of life. This full-time, day-shift position places you within a premier health organization in the scenic Finger Lakes region, supported by a collaborative physical therapy team dedicated to patient-centered care.

Requirements

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program
• Valid Physical Therapist license in New York State (or eligibility to obtain at time of hire)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds independently and up to 150 pounds with assistance
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and moving patients during treatment sessions

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in outpatient physical therapy settings
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and team members
• Experience treating orthopedic, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each person's rehabilitation needs.
• Administer therapeutic treatments such as exercises, manual therapy, and modalities like ultrasound, heat/ice therapy, and electrical stimulation.
• Educate patients on exercise programs, posture correction, and injury prevention strategies to support long-term recovery and improved functional outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team, you'll monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to meet rehabilitation goals.
• Document treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with departmental policies and industry standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment aligned with infection control and safety guidelines is essential to your role.
