Requirements

Physical Therapy license in NJ
Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT preferred, not required)

Responsibilities

Patient assessment: evaluating conditions, mobility, strength, and pain levels. Reviewing medical history and collaborating with other team members. Identify functional limitations and rehabilitation needs.
Treatment planning: develop individualized rehabilitation programs based on diagnosis and team input. Set short – and long- term goals. Adjust plans depending on patient progress and interdisciplinary recommendations.
Therapeutic Interventions: Provide exercise therapy, manual treatment and modalities.
Patient and Family education: teach patients proper exercises and injury prevention strategies. Educate families on supporting recovery and committing to prescribed plan of care. Promote long-term health and independence.
Monitoring and Documentation: Track patient progress and outcomes. Maintain accurate clinical records to be completed prior to end of shift. Modify interventions based on results and team feedback.
