About The Position

Central Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team in providing high-quality care to patients. The Physical Therapist will evaluate and treat patients with a range of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, develop individualized treatment plans, and support patients in improving mobility and quality of life. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for patient care. Central Health's mandate is to serve as the safety net for individuals in the county who need healthcare services. Requirements

  • Master's Degree (higher degree accepted) in Physical Therapy (MPT)
  • 3 years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist
  • Unrestricted License for Physical Therapy

Nice To Haves

  • Doctoral or Professional Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities, identifying impairments, limitations, and functional goals
  • Develop personalized treatment plans to address each patient's unique needs, incorporating both short- and long-term goals
  • Provide hands-on treatments such as exercises, manual therapy, and other modalities to improve patient mobility, strength, and function
  • Track patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and strategies for self-care and prevention of further injury
  • Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and Central Health standards
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay informed of the latest advancements in physical therapy practices
  • Implement and uphold department policies and procedures to promote a culture of excellence
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies regarding physical therapy practice
  • Foster strong communication channels between physical therapy team, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
  • Other duties as assigned
