As a Physical Therapist at WVC, you will design and deliver medically prescribed physical therapy programs for residents and outpatients with acute and chronic conditions affecting muscles, nerves, joints, or bones. Your work will help promote mobility, reduce pain, prevent disability, and enhance quality of life across all levels of care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program (or higher)
  • Current state Physical Therapy license and board certification
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time‑management skills
  • Comfort working in a team‑based, patient‑centered environment
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with clinical documentation systems

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates exemplary customer service, compassion, and professionalism toward residents and team members
  • Provides comprehensive physical therapy care, including patient evaluation, treatment planning, and administration of manual therapy and therapeutic modalities
  • Demonstrates strong organizational, time‑management, and planning skills
  • Conducts staff in‑service training related to physical therapy techniques and objectives
  • Supervises and supports physical therapy assistants, aides, and students
  • Collaborates with physicians, therapists, nursing staff, and caregivers to coordinate patient care
  • Assesses patient functional abilities and documents findings to develop or modify plans of care
  • Instructs and assists patients with mobility, posture, and use of assistive devices to promote independence
  • Reviews physician referrals and medical records to determine appropriate therapy interventions
  • Monitors patient progress and adjusts treatment plans to maximize therapeutic outcomes
  • Educates patients and families on treatment plans and home exercise programs
  • Completes accurate and timely clinical documentation of treatments and patient progress
  • Maintains working knowledge of PPS, MDS, Medicare Part B, and applicable reimbursement systems
