About The Position

As a Physical Therapist at BMS, you will play a vital role within our integrated care team, providing comprehensive physical therapy services that support patients’ mobility, recovery, and overall well-being. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited entry-level Physical Therapy program.
Current NYS Physical Therapy licensure.
Two or more years of experience preferred.
Current BCLS certification.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain static postures during treatment and meet physical demands, including occasional lifting up to 25 lbs and navigating facilities in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Perform physical therapy evaluations and treatments in alignment with NYS licensure and current clinical standards.
Review referrals, interpret diagnoses, and ensure safe, effective treatment plans.
Document evaluations and daily progress using SOAP format in a timely and accurate manner.
Apply therapeutic modalities and techniques according to department policy and best practices.
Collaborate with medical team members to support integrated, whole-person care.
Continuously assess patient response to treatment and recommend changes as needed.
Communicate progress and care plans clearly with patients, referring providers, and the care team.
Address emotional and physical needs that arise during treatment with empathy and professionalism.
Supervise PT support and clerical staff, fostering a cooperative and supportive environment.
Ensure proper care and maintenance of therapy equipment and workspace.
Manage documentation, supply orders, and departmental administrative needs.
Support recruitment efforts alongside Human Resources to build a strong PT team.
Perform additional related tasks as needed to support the department and organization.
