Terms and Conditions apply The Physical Therapist Clinician II is primarily responsible for the delivery of physical therapy care to the patient population to which she/he is assigned and the recording of that care in the hospital medical record. The therapist acts as a consultant to various patient populations. The Physical Therapist Clinician II provides instruction to OT/PT support staff, PT students, personnel of other disciplines within VCUHS, and patient and/or family members. Therapists may rotate through our various clinical service areas. Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:Licensed (or licensure eligible) by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Physical Therapist Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment:Current license by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Physical TherapistCurrent CPR Certification if required by clinic or practice area

Requirements

• Licensed (or licensure eligible) by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Physical Therapist
• Current license by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Physical Therapist
• Current CPR Certification if required by clinic or practice area
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience as a Physical Therapist
• Graduate of an accredited School of Physical Therapy

Nice To Haves

• Masters or Doctoral Degree from an accredited School of Physical Therapy
• Successful challenge of the VCUHS Physical Therapy Clinical Ladder

Responsibilities

• Patient evaluation and implementation of intervention programs
• Discharge planning
• Ordering equipment
• Representing department at rounds and discharge conferences
• Scheduling and charging patients
