About The Position

Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system at Ingalls Memorial Hospital as a Physical Therapist (PRN). In this role, you will examine, evaluate, test, and work to alleviate mechanical, physiological, or developmental impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or other health and movement related conditions. This includes classifying disorders, determining a rehabilitation prognosis and plan of therapeutic intervention, and assessing the ongoing effects of interventions. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program with minimum Bachelor’s Degree
  • Licensed, or eligible, in the state of Illinois with Notification of eligibility for examination.
  • Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s or Doctorate preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates patients utilizing the advanced/specialized test and measurements; to determine the physical therapy problem/level of function and the expected discharge environment.
  • Promotes and has knowledge of and utilizes appropriate patient care protocol relating to the physical, psychosocial, and developmental needs.
  • Establishes a treatment plan based upon the evaluation findings; and the patient/family, the referring practitioner, and therapist's goals.
  • Performs advanced/specialized physical therapy techniques and procedures.
  • Treats patients with complex problems ie. co-morbidities and/or poor previous out-comes; consults on difficult cases for staff and referring practitioners.
  • Documents findings; patient progress; and procedures performed, and time required.
  • Instructs patient/families in home programs.
  • Demonstrates effective time management; achieves designated productivity standard.
