About The Position
An outpatient clinic in Sarasota is adding a Physical Therapist to the team. This role is built around practical, movement-based rehab: evaluating patients, setting clear goals, and delivering treatment that helps people get back to work, daily life, and the activities they care about. The pace is steady and manageable at 10–12 patients per day, and documentation is completed in ATHENA (EMR).
Requirements
- DPT from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Active Florida PT license (or ability to obtain)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain)
- Comfortable staying on top of documentation in a busy clinic flow
- Solid patient communication and clinical decision-making skills
Nice To Haves
- Outpatient experience preferred; strong new grads considered
Responsibilities
- Perform initial evaluations, including gait, posture, ROM, strength, and functional testing
- Create treatment plans tailored to patient goals and measurable outcomes
- Treat 10–12 patients per day
- Teach and progress home exercise programs to support results between visits
- Document evals, daily notes, progress reports, and discharges in ATHENA (EMR)
- Reassess regularly, track outcomes, and modify plans based on patient response
- Communicate clearly with patients and the clinic team to keep care coordinated and efficient
