As a Physical Therapist, you will help patients regain or maintain physical well-being after illness, injury, or age-related issues. This involves using various treatments to reduce pain, build strength and endurance, increase range of motion, and improve balance. The role is busy and fast-paced, requiring you to see several patients daily for initial evaluations, re-evaluations, and treatments. You will work with diverse patient backgrounds, including those recovering from orthopedic injuries or surgeries, traumatic brain injuries, stroke, or conditions affecting balance. The environment is collaborative and supportive, with team members offering help, advice, and mentoring. To succeed, you must be a team player, personable, positive, and motivated to provide high-quality care to a wide range of patients daily.

Requirements

  • Six month internship which is part of Physical Therapy School, upon hire
  • Master’s program, upon hire
  • 1 year Internship which is part of DPT program, upon hire
  • Must have two years’ experience and demonstrated leadership to act as area supervisor or weekend supervisor
  • Physical Therapist: AR, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Work with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and therapists to develop and execute a treatment plan for each patient
  • Perform initial patient evaluations as well as re-evaluations to indicate the level of progress
  • Document all treatments and note any status changes
  • Tailor treatments to individual patients as needed - don’t be afraid to think creatively or do a little extra
  • Seek new learning opportunities and be a resource when others need to learn from you
  • Consistently offer the best care possible to every patient
