Nemours is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our outpatient program in Bear, Delaware. Primary Job Function Provides physical therapy evaluations, interventions and patient/family education. Will establish and maintain appropriate documentation and communication with medical and clinical staff and outside agencies within the guidelines designated by state licensure, the department and Delaware Valley policies and procedures. Actively participates in departmental education activities in order to expand knowledge of patient populations and evidence-based practice. Requirements

  • Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy or its equivalent from an CAPTE accredited university required. Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is entry-level.
  • Minimum of three (3) to six (6) months experience required. New graduates will be considered based on educational experiences.
  • State of Delaware Physical Therapist License or provisional/temporary license required upon hire. Delaware State clinical license to practice must be maintained for duration of employment, regardless of program or location.
  • All clinical staff are required to hold a second license in Maryland (in addition to DE license). Maryland licensure process can be initiated during the onboarding or orientation process.
  • Pennsylvania clearances are required upon hire for those with a Pennsylvania license.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification required within 6 months of date of hire and must be maintained for duration of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Member of professional specialty organizations (APTA, state PT association) preferred.
  • Pediatric experience is preferred.
