Requirements

  • Must have a valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license and eligibility
  • Must have a Master's degree in Physical Therapy
  • Alternatively, must have a Master's degree in a Physical Therapy related field in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
  • Alternatively, must have a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience
  • The qualifying Physical Therapy degree earned outside of the U.S. must be evaluated to be the U.S. equivalent to a degree in Physical Therapy

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient needs, develop their recovery plans, and deliver physical therapy
  • Design a program that will restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities
  • Be adaptable to the needs of the patient and can find joy in the variety of the work and the settings
  • Collaborate with peers and make referrals to help patients get the care they need to thrive
  • Train patients and caregivers on the skills they need to promote independence and productivity
