About The Position
Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation Outpatient Rehabilitation in Mesquite, TX is seeking a compassionate and growth-minded Physical Therapist for a PRN position. The clinic features a busy, dynamic, upbeat, and friendly culture with a large open space gym, an Alter G, and 13 treatment tables, including a private traction treatment room. The patient population primarily consists of orthopedic cases, including post-operative hips, knees, and shoulders, spine pain, a large work compensation demographic, and a growing sports medicine component. The team is looking to expand and continue to serve this vibrant patient population.
Requirements
- Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
- Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment or as required by state regulations.
Nice To Haves
- Skills in traditional orthopedics, sports medicine and pain management are a plus
- New grads with clinical experience in orthopedics may be considered
Responsibilities
- Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment
- Patient Case Load Average: 10-12
- Timely and accurate documentation using Therapy Source
- Interpreting assessment/diagnostic data including medical notes and surgery reports
- Ensuring medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately
- Promoting continuous quality improvement
- Instructing and counseling patients/families as needed
