Orthopedic Associates of Hartford provides exceptional physical and occupational therapy services to our patients. Our physical and occupational therapists work at delivering high-quality care in collaboration with our OAH physicians and Advanced Practitioners. Working with Orthopedic Associates offers first-hand access to top-level surgeons in the state and the opportunity to observe various surgeries onsite. This is a great opportunity to work with a diverse population that offers a wonderful team atmosphere with experienced clinicians and some of the best orthopedic physicians, nurses and physician assistants in New England! Our locations are open M-F from 7am - 7pm. This position requires two evening shifts to close at 7pm and two morning shifts beginning at 7am. This position is primarily located in Glastonbury, CT but has potential to float to other clinics as necessary. Clinic locations include: Enfield, Farmington, Glastonbury, Plainville, Rocky Hill and South Windsor. The Physical Therapist (PT) independently evaluates, determines treatment strategies, delivers and/or delegates services that identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain, with emphasis on physical dysfunction. This role encompasses evaluation skills and techniques, analysis of patients, and therapeutic application of physical and chemical agents, exercise and other procedures to maximize the patient's functional independence. Evaluation involves strength, motor control, joint mobility, soft tissue integrity, pain, balance, coordination, posture, cardiopulmonary function, endurance, gait and functional abilities in activities of daily living. Therapy services include post-operative and non-operative care of diagnoses such as: joint replacements, post-op ligamentous and tendinous repairs, fractures, sports injuries, chronic joint pain/sprains/strains, and spine care.

Requirements

  • Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
  • Open to new graduates with strong orthopedic clinical experience or interest.
  • Previous experience as a Physical Therapist preferred.
  • Current State of CT Physical Therapy license required or active temporary license at time of hire.
