Requirements

  • Physical Therapist: Less than one year experience in physical therapy.
  • Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy.

  • Doctorate of Physical Therapy Preferred

Responsibilities

  • This position requires detailed knowledge of physical therapy, including what work is to be performed, how it is carried out, and why it is done, with responsibilities that include interpretation of clinical data.
  • Candidates must have basic computer skills and a foundational understanding of the rules and regulations of the specific care setting.
  • The role involves evaluating and treating patients using a wide range of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical function and developmental disorders, while demonstrating knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan.
  • The physical therapist oversees and ensures a comprehensive rehabilitation program that supports the patient’s physical, psychosocial, and immediate environmental well‑being, and promotes patient and caregiver self‑determination by optimizing outside resources to achieve the highest level of independence.
  • This position coordinates and communicates with various disciplines involved in patient care and aligns efforts toward discharge goals established at the initial evaluation and throughout the episode of care.
  • The physical therapist serves as a patient advocate and performs other duties as assigned.
  • Care settings may include inpatient, outpatient, long‑term care, community‑based care, and home health.
