About The Position

MercyOne Waterloo Med Center Physical Therapist: FT Day Shift (80 hrs/biweekly) Position Purpose: provides physical therapy evaluations and treatments to appropriate patients to facilitate their return to prior level of functioning as prescribed by physician.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree: Physical Therapy
• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Iowa.
• BLS.
• Mandatory Reporter
• Ability to communicate effectively with treatment team, supervisors, peers, patients and families.
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and the ability to be flexible.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment techniques competently.
• Conducts patient assessment.
• Develops treatment plans for patients.
• Develops initial assessment in SOAP-note form utilizing appropriate documentation tool (700/701 forms).
• Provides education to patients and families.
• Supervises students and volunteers.
• Adheres to all safety, infection control and colleague health policies and procedures.
