About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our hospital-based rehabilitation team. This role offers the opportunity to provide hands-on patient care while supporting a collaborative, team-oriented environment. You will work closely with physicians, therapy coordinators, and fellow caregivers to ensure seamless, high-quality rehabilitation services for patients of all ages. Position Summary The Physical Therapist provides direct patient care, including evaluations, treatment planning, and implementation of physical therapy services. This position also includes supervision of professional and non-professional support staff, helping ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care. As part of the hospital care team, the Physical Therapist contributes to departmental operations and supports the hospital's mission of healing and service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy required
  • Current Kansas Physical Therapy licensure required
  • Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification required

Nice To Haves

  • Prior physical therapy experience preferred
  • APTA and/or KPTA membership encouraged but optional

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive physical therapy services, including patient evaluations, treatment, plans of care, and progression of therapy
  • Supervise and support professional and non-professional therapy staff in accordance with Kansas law
  • Collaborate with physicians regarding patient treatment plans, equipment needs, and therapy services
  • Work closely with therapy coordinators to ensure smooth and seamless delivery of care
  • Support departmental goals and objectives aligned with the hospital's strategic plan
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively to promote efficiency and quality outcomes
  • Monitor patient care, staff performance, and workflow to ensure consistent, high-quality service
  • Address physician concerns professionally and promptly when appropriate
  • Maintain therapy equipment and work areas in compliance with hospital safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
  • Open or secure the building as needed, based on scheduled hours
  • Accept additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned
