Responsibilities of the Physical Therapist: Consult with patients to learn about their physical condition. Assess and interpret patient evaluations and test results. Develop treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques. Create personalized fitness-oriented healthcare programs for patients. Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility. Advise patients on exercise techniques. Advise patients and their families about in-home treatment options. Provide educational information about injury prevention, ergonomics, and ways to promote physical health. Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. Document patient care history.
